Juliet Jones will be writing weekly dispatches on parenting, which she describes as ‘a day trip that turned into a journey from which I never returned’. Read the introduction and you will want to read more! Today we began publishing ‘ Living with ADDversity: Excerpts from the Life of an ADHD Family ’, the diary of Jan Assheton. Jan is the mother of a child with ADHD, who has become an ADHD coach and learning mentor. She will be sharing the benefits of her experience of ADHD from a personal and professional perspective twice a month. ‘TIS THE SEASON Our holiday features section will continue to grow throughout December. So far we have featured ‘ Pantomania ’ to help you find seasonal theatre throughout the UK and ‘ Christmas Countdown ’ which covers Advent - the run-up to Christmas and the calendars to mark it. Christmas Stories and Crafts , from our selection of recommended books, will make DIY decorations easy and Last Posting Dates could help you get the goods to their destinations in time. TIGERCHILD RECOMMENDED BOOKS Our new ‘ Tigerchild Recommended Books ’ section pulls together the best titles on cooking for kids , rainy day activities , arts and crafts , travelling with children , and Christmas Stories and Crafts . We will be adding to this area of the site all the time so be sure to keep an eye out for new categories and feel free to suggest ones yourselves. OUR SITE IS YOUR SITE We have come up with a number of ways in which you can participate more actively in the life of the site. Share your birth stories on our message boards – the good, the bad, and the downright unforgettable. E-mail your tips for entertaining the kids when they are bored, it’s raining or both to bored . We are hoping to build up a reserve of inspiration for those times when you just don’t have any left. We have alsod the new Tigerchild Picture Gallery – scan in your child’s artwork, save it as a JPEG or a GIF, send it to gallery and we will display it on the site. HEALTH NEWS Dr. Catherine Gant has now covered hip disorders , sprains, strains and joint pain , and knee pain in our A-Z of Childhood Conditions and has updated our section on the childhood immunisation schedule in line with recent government changes.
