My 12 year-old daughter has sore and swollen knees. She had a bout of this with one knee affected four years ago which resolved itself after three months on Ibuprofen - it was diagnosed as reactive arthritis and the cause was thought to be an infection or virus, although no traces of infection were found. Now the problem has recurred only worse. Blood test for viral and rheumatoid arthritis markers have been negative. Gamma scan showed nothing unusual. X-rays show only the effusion on the knee. Ophthalmology tests and new tests of the effusion are pending.
The knee is not incredibly painful but it is debilitating and she has been unable to take active part in sport for some time.
Has anyone any similar experiences, or homeopathic suggestions?
