That is a truly wonderful heart warming story. I had 'chicken skin' from start to finish. My daughter is 17 months old and I love her so much.
My husband already had two daughters from a previous marriage and when we fell pregnant we automatically wished for a boy but through the results of the amnio we found we were having our little girl.
What surprised me was the excitement and pleasure I felt. I honestly thought we wanted a boy, I so wanted to be able to say I gave my husband his boy, but this news was all I could have asked for. (and my husband because he's a sucker for girls)
I didn't have a good upbringing and had/have no relationship with my mother - she is not in my life. So for me to have a daughter of my own is so very very special, as a mother I want to be for her everything my mother was never to me. Her name is Asia and she throws the most amazing tantrums.
